Above: This week, Mrs. Offman and her students went to Troy Dayze where they enjoyed time together deepening relationships and building community. This is an annual event that our Baker Family looks forward to. The Troy Daze weekend never fails to offer fun for the entire OneTroy community!

2022-2023 Baker Clubs

We encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Joining a club can hone communication skills, foster creative thinking, and teach students how to work effectively with other people. Engaging in activities outside of school will allow students to develop time-management skills while exploring interests and identifying their talents.

This week all students at Baker had an opportunity to participate in the Baker Club Gallery Walk. During the gallery walk, students learned about our available clubs, signed up to receive more information and picked up a copy of the Club Participation Fee Form. Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

Baker families, please follow the outlined pick-up and drop-off route in the image below. Also, please drop-off and pick up students in the approved yellow area in front of the main entrance. Picking-up and dropping off in any other area may lead to students crossing traffic, disruptions to the flow of traffic, and an unsafe environment for students. Thank you for your cooperation and your assistance in creating an happy, healthy, and safe environment.

Drop-Off & Pick Up Guidelines

  • Student may be dropped off at the main entrance starting at 7:30 am.
  • Students must wait in the main entrance foyer outside the main office.
  • Students will be allowed to enter the interior of the building at 7:45 am.
  • Parents dropping off are asked to use the main entrance drop off loop.
  • Please do not cut the line.
  • Please pull as far forward as possible.
  • Adults should stay in the car.
  • Please encourage students to exit your car quickly and safely (from the right side of the car only).
  • Please stay behind the car in front of you and wait patiently.
  • Please do NOT park in the staff parking spaces
  • Parents are NOT allowed to use the bus loop to drop off or pick up students.
  • Students are dismissed at 3:03 pm.
  • If you are picking up your student before 3:03 pm, please call ahead or go into the main office to sign them out.

Family Outdoor Movie Night

FREE ADMISSION - All children must be accompanied by an adult and registration is required prior to entry.

Baker Families, please join us for an evening of fun with our Baker Community! On September 28, 2022 the Baker Main Office and the Baker PTO are hosting our very first Baker Family Outdoor Movie Night. We have a 30 foot screen and professional sound system that we are setting up at the 50 yard line, on the football field. Concessions will be available.

The outdoor bleachers will be available and space on the field will be available for lawn chairs & blankets. If you are planning to attend, please complete the form below to RSVP and nominate your movie of choice. Arrival starts at 6 pm and the movie will start at 6:30 pm. Yearbook Orders

Order your yearbook for the 2022-2023 school year today! Scan the QR code to access the order site. If you need additional information, please contact Mrs. Traver at mtraver@troy.k12.mi.us.

iPad Insurance

Please be sure to opt in at the beginning of the school year. The form and ability to opt-in for insurance will close on September 30th.

Each year, parents need to complete the iPad Responsibility Form and opt in or out of the optional iPad insurance program. The form and details about the optional insurance program are available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal under the Forms tab.

If your child has a district issued iPad, this form should be completed as soon as possible. The form and ability to opt-in for insurance will close on September 30th. Once the window closes, only students new to the district will have the option to purchase insurance for the current school year.

If you have completed the form but have not yet submitted your payment, please do so as soon as possible to avoid receiving further reminders. Payment instructions are on the form.

This form MUST be completed for EACH student. If your student does not have a district provided iPad, please indicate that on the form. Reminders will be sent weekly to those who have not completed the form.

  • Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://ps.troy.k12.mi.us
  • From the left menu, click the Forms icon
  • From the General Forms tab, select the Student iPad Responsibility & Optional Insurance Form
  • If you choose to “Opt-In” to the $10 annual insurance program, payments can be made on-line via the link in the form or by cash/check sent or delivered to the Troy School District Technology Department, 4420 Livernois Road, Troy, MI 48098.
  • If paying by cash or check, be sure to include your student(s) first/last name and student number with the payment. The form must be completed on-line prior to sending your payment.

Volunteer Opportunities

Baker families, your assistance is needed at home athletic events. If you are interested in helping the PTO, please sign up using the link above to work concessions. If you work a shift you will earn $5 Baker Bucks for your student. Baker Bucks can be redeemed at the Bob Shop or concessions. There is a max of 3 shifts/$15 each parent can earn.

Support Our PTO

The Baker PTO has the opportunity to raise a significant amount of funds every year through purchases regularly made at Kroger and Amazon! Many of you already make purchases through theses companies. They are willing to donate a portion of the proceeds back to Baker.

These funds go directly into the classroom, impacting all Baker students. If you have not registered yet with Kroger or Amazon, simply click on the links below to find out how.
