Dear Phoenix Club Member,

Thank you for your continued support of Elon Athletics! My name is Jabril Williams, and I am a post-graduate student on the football team from Statesville, North Carolina. Recently, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. Now, I am pursuing a master’s degree in business analytics. I am excited to share my story with you and how I rose to the challenge of being a successful student-athlete here at Elon with generous support from individuals like you!

First, I would like to say thank you for your time and support, not only helping me but other student-athletes as well. It really means a lot to all of us but for me personally, it has been a dream come true. I have always wanted to play a Division I sport and attend a prestigious university without causing financial stress on my family. Where I am from, a lot of kids do not get this opportunity to go beyond high school and attend college. However, because of your generosity, you have helped me rise to the challenge of beating a continuous cycle in my hometown.

This donation has helped shaped me into the man I am today. It has helped me create great friendships that are going to last a lifetime and opened me up to different experiences I would have never been able to see firsthand. It has also allowed me to get a great education that will help me start a career in finance as a financial analyst or a wealth manager. This all goes to say I am extremely grateful for the opportunity you have given me to be able to attend such a great institution and not only allow me to grow as a student-athlete but become a better person.
