"...having done all, STAND!" Communiqué :: april 2021

"Embrace this time as part of God’s destiny for you."

Hi everyone,

Embrace Today.

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

Knowing God has a design for our lives, being convinced of who we are in Him and accepting that we are living today because of Him, is a great source of strength. Many call it accepting divine destiny. He thinks deeply about you and has not forgotten you at any time.

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. (Psalm 139:13-18)

It has been a very difficult time for everyone and for some, more than others because of the Pandemic. The entire world is moving into another season with the introduction of “vaccination” in the hope of combating and eradicating the Pandemic. We need to pray fervently that it will succeed.

In the meantime, we can find strength to break the spirit of inertia that is slowly eating away the faith and commitment of many in the church and to regain a new Holy Spirit momentum to live for Him and serve Him only.

The first key to receive that spiritual momentum is to embrace this season a God - ordained season for us. This was what Mordecai meant when he told Esther, “who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Embrace this time as part of God’s destiny for you. He has watched you whilst you were in your mother’s womb and He is still watching over you. As such, His grace is sufficient for you and you can be victorious and see the blessings of God even today.

  • Do not wait for another day to grow. Decide to grow today.
  • Do not wait for the season to pass to envision great things, envision them today.
  • Do not wait for another day to serve Him. Serve Him today.

As you embrace today, you are honoring God. He will also honor you in all that you do.

God Bless You and Praying for You.

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” (Jer 33:3)

Join us every Wednesday night (Onsite & Online) at 8:00pm as we watch and pray for ourselves, our church and the nation.

Last year I went through a time of testing and God proved himself faithful!

In August, I was given a verbal reply of a successful job application. Despite not having a written offer letter, on 1 st September I submitted my resignation letter. Believe it or not, on the same day I received a letter of appreciation from my employer then. Finally, on 8th September 2020, I received my appointment letter via email to start in November 2020. What a relief that was at that point in time!

But guess what happened? In mid-October 2020, I received a call from the director of the company that they will not be able to take me in due to the pandemic. It was heart-breaking and I almost burst into tears.

Truth be told, I started to question God but I recalled watching a Christian podcast called Let's Get Real by Brandon Ho in Episode 12 which YB Hannah Yeoh shared about turning trials into testimonies. My job situation was an unexpected trial. In desperation, I went looking high and low for any job opportunities and started asking friends for help but failed to land any job.

In that critical juncture, I decided to dig into Scripture and spent more time with God. Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” brought me to a place of surrender and submission to God.

Amazingly in one of our church online zoom prayer room, I received a prayer that says "Jesus is our certainty in times of uncertainty" . God confirmed His faithfulness because at that point, I was also reading a bible plan called Certainty in Times of Uncertainty! Then the turn-around happened. There was a change of heart of the management. They called to say that I will get to keep my job! All glory and praise to our faithful Jesus!

How would you answer Jesus Christ should He asks you “Who do you say I am?” Come discover Him afresh. Let’s draw near to God this season of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Introduce Christ and share God’s blessing with your loved ones and friends.

Our Easter weekend is both Onsite & Online.
