What does your average day look like? Or what are some of your essential duties?
I work to ensure that Yuba Water is at the forefront of community-wide impact efforts. This includes working with cross-sector leadership throughout our community to help advance the agency’s goals and mission, and to provide ideas and solutions so that residents, local businesses and others can remain connected and are able to thrive in Yuba County.

What is your background that led to where you are in your career today?
I attended Yuba College and also took numerous online courses. I realized early on that interaction and collaboration were needed to thrive in this career. I've also been involved in community relations in the Yuba-Sutter area for more than 42 years and have had three amazing jobs that helped improve my impact on the community.
What do you enjoy most about working for Yuba Water?
I love that each day is so different! One day I might be meeting with the colonel of Beale Air Force Base, and the next I could be in a classroom talking about watershed management careers to high school students. I love my coworkers who give back so much to the residents of Yuba County with their roles at Yuba Water. We are making a difference and continuing the legacy of the visionaries that built New Bullards Bar Dam and Colgate Powerhouse!
Before working at Yuba Water, what was the most interesting job you had?
The most interesting job that I had before here was working for Recology Yuba Sutter. I created the three carts system campaign that educated our community about how to properly recycle. Recology's characters Buddy Blue, Ima Green Waste, Thaddeus the Moose and I visited over 180 classrooms to teach reduce, reuse, recycle!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love traveling, musical plays and playing cards with my girlfriends!
What are three words you would use to describe Yuba Water Agency?
Motivating, Progressive, Transparent
