Autumn 2 Newsletter Worsbrough Common Primary

We can't believe it's almost the end of term! And what a busy one it has been. Keep reading to see what we've achieved this half term...

This half term the whole school has focused on Geography and worked on our map and field work skills. We have learned about a huge range of places, from Barnsley to Wyoming and lots of places in between!

As we move into the new year we are planning and preparing for our Art and Design and Technology topics. The first 4 days when we return in January will be whole school Art Week, after the success of our first one last year. This time we will be working on our drawing skills, and we will of course be inviting you to view our work in our school art gallery!

Attendance

Attendance continues to be a high priority for school and we thank families for continuing to support us in making sure children are in school so they can learn. We appreciate there has been some horrid illnesses around over the last few weeks. This term's attendance is well below our target however we have given away a record number of attendance prizes through December! It was great to be able to celebrate 5, 10 and 100% with pupils.

94.3%

Certificates and attendance badges for the Autumn term will be sent out in January.
