The south China tiger live in Montane sub-tropical ever green forest of southeast China. They like to in tall grassy lands, with tall trees. Some of these tigers like to live in mountains. They build caves in mountains to live in.
South China tiger's number one predator are humans! They kill them for there skin and to make medicine. People in China considered these tigers as pests. This tiger has no natural predator. Sometimes they hunt mammals that are larger than them. They hunt deer, wild boar, cattle, and goat.
South China tigers are the smallest species of tigers and the most endangered too. There are about 10 left in the wild. These tigers have lost a lot of their land. That means that they lost a lot of their homes. They are also disappearing because of the inbreeding. There are less than 30 south China tigers left in the world. People in China have not spotted these tigers in the wild in 20 years!
The government in China are trying to save the south China tigers. They banned those tigers. Now it's against the law.
Over all, humans are doing everything they can to help these tigers. Let's hope that south China tigers get taken of the endangered list.
