UNDP Maldives Q2 Newsletter 2023

Hello from the Maldives

As we reach the mid-point of 2023, we have much to be grateful for.

The Maldives blazed the trail on an innovative finance movement to build defenses around one of the world's most climate-vulnerable nations.

In the second Quarter of the year, our focus has been on boldly bridging critical gaps. From offering strategic options to the health systems to pushing boundaries in sustainable and green transport solutions, we focus on a present where environmental consciousness and economic prosperity thrive hand in hand. By integrating sustainability into business practices and advancing women, youth, and justice, we continue our work with a shared commitment to transformative change.

Together, we aim at a reality that is full of optimism and opportunities, and if not there quite as yet, we’ll create it.

With profound thanks,

Enrico Gaveglia, UNDP Resident Representative in the Maldives
