Year 6 Residential

It was an absolute privilege to take Year 6 to Whitemoor Lakes last week. Our time was spent buggy building, problem solving, canoeing, raft building, climbing, high ropes, archery, nightline, stand up paddle boarding, have a fascinating talk and show about animals, abseiling, zip wiring, crate stacking, circus skills and fencing. We also managed to squeeze in a campfire, disco, hot chocolate and movies and spend time relaxing by the lake! It was an awesome residential and the children were an absolute credit to the school. The children gave 100% in all of the tasks, and some of these challenges were about overcoming our fears. All of the children did incredible and have made memories for life!

EYFS - Keeping cool!

Music Assembly - Thursday 30th June

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Due to the success of the last music assembly, David will be hosting another music assembly to celebrate the talented musicians we have at Isham!

As with the previous one held last term, if your child is learning to play a musical instrument through regular lessons either in or out of school (this includes children who receive singing lessons) and has a prepared piece (maybe two!) that they would like to perform on Thursday 30th, please contact the school office with the name of your child and the instrument by Thursday 23rd June. This will then allow me to compile a running order for this assembly.

Parents of those children who are performing are also invited to attend, please confirm in an email to the school office if you would like to attend.

Thanks as always for your support with your children’s musical endeavors,

Mr Hole

EYFS Stay and Play Morning - Monday 20th June - 9.00am - 10.30am

The EYFS team and children would love if the EYFS parents could join them for an informal stay and play session. Please confirm your attendance to Mrs Hughes. We can't wait for you to visit!

Technology changes at such a rapid pace that it can be hard to keep up with the latest trends. The resources below are an invaluable way of making sure you know as much as your children. You are the first line of defence in keeping your children safe online – our aim is to encourage and support you to become involved in this process so that they are receiving the best protection they can – you can’t eliminate the dangers but you can reduce them!

Reflection Time

This term we have started our new theme looking at friendship....Definition: Christians believe that Jesus is our friend. Feeling comfortable in each other’s company, being able to share joys and sorrows are all features of friendship and these are things of immense value. True friendship enables each person to grow and ensures that the unique individuality of each person is recognised. All this echoes the value placed by God on the preciousness of each person. Hymns like ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’ point to a relationship that is at the heart of Christian believing. Knowing that God is our friend is to recover something of the acceptance and close companionship that people of all ages need and crave
