Cityfriend Process Work

The Problem.

Travel enthusiasts are overwhelmed or nervous to explore new places. They are bombarded with excess information or given a rehearsed tour of their destination. They want to feel like locals rather than tourists. More specifically, newcomers to an area want to learn more about their surroundings in a unique and authentic way.

Competitors.

Unlike our competitors, we organize our information in a purely visual manner to condense the location to its essence, allowing users to get a snapshot of the area attractions. We offer options to link with locals that provide a truly native experience.

User Goals.

We want our users to feel confident in travel. We want them to enjoy a catered experience. And most of all we want to help our users have a more genuine travel experience by exploring their travel destinations in a uniquely visual way.

Value Proposition.

Local Guides.

We provide a steady income with no set routine. We equip them with the means to grow their business and connect with visitors to the area. We solve the problem of self marketing and take away the burden of maintaining financial information by creating a simple and more enjoyable way to connect with people looking for their services.

Visual Research.

Scope.

We aim to provide information and condense research about a target location. We want to give an updated list on current happenings in the city. Reviews are provided in relation to friends and what they have to say. There is also a roulette option for spontaneous travelers looking for some last minute inspiration. The app will provide and highlight popular items on your feed, give customer and local reviews of experiences and establishments, and show favorited locations on a personalized map of the city.
