On Saturday, December 10, 2022 about 20 Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporters (CPRS) convened at the Akron-Summit County Public Library North Hill branch, in their community room to hold a Peer Training Day.
Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporters need to get 30 hours of continuing education to decertify, and there are a number of mandatory training subjects. This Training Day was to help get a few of those mandatory credit hours knocked out so recertification is smoother.
Rikki Ross and Rob Braden, who both work at Catholic Charities Peer Recovery Outreach Center at St. John’s.
Three classes;
- Health & Wellness in Recovery
- Cultural Sensitivity
- Trauma-Informed Peer Support
