Wild Animals By Eva y5

Foxes are creatures who dig holes in the ground or take over abandoned homes.

Foxes actually live in quite a variety of habitats, including Forests, grasslands, mountains and desserts. They also adapt well to human environments like farms etc.

Foxes have quite a diverse diet, and are skilled hunters. Eating rabbits, rodents, birds, frogs and earthworms, as well as Carrion. Foxes are actually omnivores and dine on berries as well.

What does the Fox say? Well, foxes sound like shrills or screams, sometimes even laughing too!

Foxes may seem mysterious and lonely, but they’re very social creatures, who live in Family groups!

Squirrels are omnivores, which means they eat all sorts of food from fungi and fruit, to eggs, nuts and sometimes even young snakes!

Squirrels dig holes in the ground to store food from bushes, gardens, trees etc.

Squirrels will fight for their food if hungry, and sometimes steaks others food stores. 🐿 Don’t feed Squirrels, or wild animals in general or you’ll be offering your whole fridge to them!

As I’d hope you’d know, squirrels live up in high trees and make nest out of twigs and branches and often steal seeds from bird feeders.

All snakes are carnivores, some types eat warm blooded animals while others eat cold blooded animals.

Snakes prefer more damp, cool areas. So that does mean that when your doing your washing, you might just find a snake in your wet clothes! They don’t have the same nest so I’m not very sure where they sleep🤔

You know, snakes aren’t all bite, over 1.1 million people own snakes! If you do happen to get bitten by a poisonous snake, don’t try and suck the poison out, you’ll get sick 🤢
