Tattoos Are Forever New location 113 us highway 46 ste 8 waynE, nj 07470

As a child I fell in love with tattoos. I was always drawing out the designs I would get when I was old enough.I never really thought I was any good, but others did. The confidence I was given by others helped plant a seed, that one day I would be a tattoo artist. When high school finished I was talked out going to art school. This is something I look back on with regret. If you want to do something just do it. Instead they convinced my atheist ass to attend a local catholic college that had offered me a partial scholarship. Although I signed up for as many art classes as they would let me, I hated it. Mom was proud of my little deans list certificate. But since it wasn't a full scholarship I wasn't about to struggle to pay for something I didn't even want. Long story short, I found a tattoo apprenticeship and never looked back. Finding it and following through with it is a long story, that maybe I'll get into some other time. Cisco started working at the same shop. We became friends. Friendship soon turned into this strange magnetic connection. Neither of us were all into the whole 'love' thing, but we were constantly together. We worked, car pooled, stayed up all night drawing and painting, then went to back to work! What can I say, he was the contact screw to my spring. Soon after we moved in together, we had just about enough of factory style tattooing. We both had this vision of a stress and drama free work environment. Unsure where to find this magical place that would be hiring 2 artists, we said "fuck it, let's open a place of our own."

After searching for a store, zoned for tattooing I passed an old deli with a crazy looking cardboard sign in the window, scribbled and quite unreadable " for rent". Way over our budget, bigger then anything we had planned on, we certainly had no need for the commercial kitchen. Tired of searching Cisco and I looked at each other and said "we'll take it!"

On October 8th, 2008 Tattoos Are Forever was open for business. Deli sign and all, we got our first walk in. We had wanted to be appointment based, but we ended up having many unanticipated walk ins, and we wanted to make people happy. So we let the shop consume us. We worked 7 days a week. We worked each day until each day was done. We soon realized this had not been our vision, so we decided to change. We switched to appointment only, and unsure what to expect, the change went well. We were able to spend more time with each client, as well as finally having some time for friends, family, and 'me' time. Eventually we decided it was time for a change of venue. It was time for us to find something that suited us better. I was looking for a well maintained property, that offered plenty of parking. I looked for almost two years, and finally just gave up. As life is funny like this, when I gave up I accidentally found something. It was a bit further away from our original location then we had hoped. After out weighing the positives and negatives, there was only thing to do, and that was to go a head and make the move.

Our new home, is now located at 113 US highway 46 Wayne, NJ. The store is located on the west bound side of route 46, and is just before the u-turn into the willowbrook mall. We are now happy to offer unlimited parking, as finding parking had been an issue for many at our previous location. We could not be happier with our new location. We appreciate our clients, supporters, friends, and family so very much, and we hope you guys love the new place too!
