Pre-production TIPS
Organize your files
Consider organizing your files in a central location so they are easy to find! This also makes troubleshooting easier should something go wrong.
Consider external hard drives for video storage
External hard drives are a great solution for people who edit a lot of video. They keep from having to manage your computer's storage and it is way nicer to your computer.

Clips can be trimmed on the timeline by moving your cursor the the end of a clip and clicking and dragging when the selector turns into red brackets or yellow brackets.
