Raining on Prom Night? Here are some places to take prom photos around town if the weather is bad this saturday

Indianapolis Artsgarden

It's definitely a bit of a drive, but the Indianapolis Artsgarden (located in Circle Center Mall) is free and has a very aesthetic view of the city through these beautiful windows.

Newfields Greenhouse

While it's a bit small, the greenhouse is a very quaint place to take photos. Get access along with your Indianapolis Museum of Art ticket, and while you're there you can take photos within the museum as well if you want.

Indianapolis Public Library

First of all it's completely free, but also the library downtown has beautiful architecture and open spaces perfect for a photoshoot. Marble columns, stacks of books and beautiful chandeliers make this an excellent place to take photos.

Indiana State Museum

Tickets are a bit pricey, but there are a lot of good photo opportunities at the Indiana State Museum. Also check out the artifacts.

Department Stores/Malls

Restoration Hardware

Many department stores and mall stores, especially ones that sell furniture, offer aesthetic places to pose on prom. Just make sure to call before to make sure they're okay with it, but these can be good places to go in a pinch.

IKEA, Macy's

Hotel Lobbies

Hotel lobbies are good places to take photos as well. We're not going to list any specific hotels, but if you decide to take this route make sure to call in advance to make sure you're allowed to take photos there.

Umbrella Photos

If all else fails, just pick up some umbrellas and take photos outside where you originally planned. There are lots of ways to get creative in the rain to make sure prom is still fun despite the bad weather.
