Transitional Kinder & Kindergarten Enrollment

CNUSD full-day kindergarten is at all elementary schools! A full-day program affords children the academic learning time needed to prepare for mastery of primary grade reading and math skills while also allowing for time to address developmental needs. To enroll in Kindergarten, a child must be five years old by September 1st of the year he/she enrolls.

CNUSD is continuing to expand the age eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. TK will be offered for students who turn 5 years of age between Sept. 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024. Please note: TK is not a full-day program.

Preparing for College and Career Readiness!

Career Technical Education provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. One of our very own Wildcats, Riann Mistry was chosen as a CTE Ambassador to represent our district's growing focus on CTE .

End of Year Assessments

Family and school partnerships are key to your child’s success. Given the disruptions to learning over the past year, it is more important than ever for you to have a complete picture of where your child is academically and how the pandemic impacted their learning. In addition to report card grades, class tests, and your own observations of your child’s learning over the past year, you can use score reports from the upcoming California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP/SBAC) to better understand your child’s strengths and areas for improvement. Then, you can partner with teachers to co-create learning goals for the school year. This Spring, students in grades 3rd through 6th will be participating in CAASPP during the months of April, May, and June.  As we get closer, your child's teacher will be sending out additional information to inform you of the weeks students will be assessed in Reading, Mathematics, and Science (only 5th Grade for Science). Click the button below for additional information.

Click the button below to visit a Parent/Guardian Resources page containing information for parents and guardians to support their child with the upcoming online California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) testing.
