What is a Pillory
This is a piece of wood or metal framing. It has a hole for both hand and your head. It is primarily used for punishment in public. Sometime these were used for physical abuse
The Ordeal by Water
If your were accused you had their hands and feet tied together. They were then thrown into water. If they floated they were guilty but if they sank they were innocent.
The Ordeal by Fire
They would make you hold a red hot iron bar and the would bandage it if the wound was healing then innocent if not guilty
The Ordeal by Combat
If you had been accused of something you would fight with the accuser whoever won was pronounced the winner
The Kings court
If there was someone that was being accused they would go to the king's court so that they would have to do one of the above for being proven innocent or guilty
Manorial court
Manorial court was a court that they would have to get pesents into groups and would tell if the tilthy had broken the law them were tried for it. The Jury is chosen by the peasants.
