Volleyball Celebrates Senior Day, Seniors Victorious

While recognizing the commitment and careers of four seniors, Colby Volleyball finished up their scrimmage series. The seniors all played together on the blue team and pulled out a 5-set victory, taking the decisive set 15-11.

Women's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day, Seniors Victorious

While recognizing the commitment and careers of seven seniors, Colby Women's Soccer played their senior day scrimmage in front of a boisterous crowd. With all seven seniors on the white team, they left with a lasting memory taking the match with a shootout tiebreaker.

Mark R. Serdjenian Field

One of the things that made the CWS Senior Day even more special was that it was the first competition on the game field since being named after Mark Serdjenian '73.

Colby announced that it has raised $1 million to designate the College's soccer field the Mark R. Serdjenian Field in recognition of a coach who had an exceptional impact on the campus community over a 40-year career. The naming is the result of an inspirational lead gift from Trustee Marieke Rothschild P'16 and Jeff Rothschild P'16, as well as support from dozens of former players, coaches, and friends.

Men's Lacrosse Scrimmage a THRILLER

Running their only scrimmage of the semester, the blue and white teams took it right down to the wire. With 16 seconds left, first year Max Solmssen broke the tie and gave the blue team a 13-12 victory.

Men's Basketball Keeps Series Tight

The Blue and Gray teams keep swapping victories with the blue team leading the gray 2-1. With two more weeks left, its anybody's series.

Hockey Programs Finish Up Intrasquad Scrimmages and Shift Gears to Team Up

The Women's Ice Hockey team competed for three weeks with 5v5 and 3v3 scrimmages, finding excellent competition.

The games (5v5 and 3v3) have by far been the highlight of our weeks. The pace of play has been incredible and they've been ultra competitive.

The Men's Ice Hockey team competed in a two-day 3v3 round robin tournament using Friday for seeding and Saturday for elimination.

Winning Team: Billy Overby, Jake Klein, Johnny McElaney, Austin Halpin, and Carter Breitenfeldt.

The two programs will target the next two Friday nights for "Hockey Night in Waterville" where they will combine rosters and compete together.
