Welcome to San Pasqual High School, we're thrilled to have your join the Golden Eagle Family. With a rich athletic tradition that started in 1972, at San Pasqual we know that a great high school experience encompasses academic, athletic and other co-curricular activities. It is our belief that students are more successful when they are engaged and connected to groups outside the classroom. Our athletic programs offer a great opportunity to find that connection.
At San Pasqual we offer 25 Varsity sports that normally take place in three different seasons; fall, winter and spring. Many of our fall sports begin prior to the first day of classes. Click here to go to a page on our school website displaying our sport offerings.
Nearly all of our sports field two or three levels of teams within their program (Varsity, JV and Freshmen/Novice). If you have questions about a specific sport, please click here for a page with the contact information for our Varsity Head Coaches. They will be happy to answer your questions.
In order to participate in high school athletics there are forms, that we call our Athletic Handbook, that must be completed. Most of the clearance process is done digitally through AthleticClearance.com. A link to the clearance site, as well as help guide along with FAQs, can be found on the Athletic Clearance & Eligibility page on our school site. This page also offers answers to many academic and transfer eligibility questions. Along with completing all of the handbook forms, students must provide documentation of a physical exam signed by a doctor. In the Escondido Union High School District, physicals are valid for participation for one-year from the date of the examination.
Something else we believe in at San Pasqual is that participating in multiple sports is better for the health and well-being of our student-athletes.
While playing any sport helps with the physical health of students, participating on multiple teams helps prevent overuse injuries, promotes an active lifestyle, exposes young people to other groups of people they may not have otherwise engaged with, and provides a structure conducive to academic success.
More information can be found on the San Pasqual High School Website.
We look forward to having you as part of the Eagle Family.
