Calandrino often went into a house to kill the pig. Bruno and Buffalmacco were swindlers and proposed a Calandrino to sell it and with the proceeds going to have fun, but Calandrino refused.
The two on their way home devise a plan to steal the pig. The evening invited Calandrino and he gave himself up to drink. He came home drunk not bother closing the door.
Bruno and Buffalmacco to take this opportunity and came sneaking home, taking away the pig. The next morning, noticing the disappearance of pork, Calandrino was alarmed
To find out who had killed the brown pig, Buffalmacco and Calandrino devised a plan, "those who had eaten meatball more bitter, was the culprit of the theft" prepared meatballs, Calandrino accidentally took the most bitter.
He laughed incredulously and beyond the damage for losing the pig was also teased.
