Baylis Court School Newsletter 10 March 2023

Year 12 and 13 Chemistry A Level students taking part in practical lessons during Science Week

Student Leadership Team

Welcome to the first in a series of articles about our School's Student Leadership Team (SLT). This term we are proud to introduce our team, starting off with Head Student, Amina.

My name is Amina Gul, I'm in year 12 and I am your Head Student. The reason I applied for this role was because I felt as though I could really bring about a lasting positive impact at Baylis even when I'm no longer here. I knew this was the last time I was ever going to come across an opportunity like this and I wanted to give it my best and proudly represent our School. What I hope to achieve whilst being Head student is to make sure that all students within our community feel heard and involved as much as possible.

Yr11 Woman in Black Trip

Year 11 attended the Fortune Theatre in London to watch a performance of the chilling Woman in Black, in preparation for their GCSE Drama exam. The show was absolutely spook-tacular and students represented the school incredibly well. Thank you to Miss Devaney who gave up her evening to support and well done year 11!

Miss Mathews

At lunchtime today, a fundraiser was held by Mr Hartley and Miss Hanif, with proceeds being donated towards the important work in Turkey and Syria following catastrophic earthquakes in the area.

The bake sale was very well attended and the teachers were really pleased with the turn out. Thank you for all your support!
