Society, we believe, is the masterpiece of a jailor imprisoning the veins of the moon and the hearts of the stars within a prison called logic, reason, family, gender, religion and political farce. Society, we believe, is a lively cage of corpses, existing in the darkness of sunshine, breathing an air of constant warfare. It is, thus, in this context of a twisted idea of life, that we, as passionate believers of love, write to you, with an aim of curating experiences and expressions of truth and love.
This transmedia multimedia project spanned over a period of 3 months. The social action initiative project called, ‘Emotions of Bachpan’ explored the expressions and subtleties of childhood in a lower socio-economic setup in Assawarpur, Haryana, India rampant with gender-based injustice. From setting up informative and engaging spaces in schools to creating art with community children, Emotions of Bachpan initiated accessible art-based platforms for gender-based discourse within the community. An INTERACTIVE talk and discussion session with children and their parents on “Art and emotion” by PROFESSOR anunaya chaubey
Creation of a library space in one of the unused classrooms by painting the walls and installing visual study-aids.
Discussion sessions and workshops on a variety of personality and skill development topics with people working in a specific domain
Collaboration with the Mobile library team of Ashoka under the guidance of Rangashri Kishore and team
The event took place on 9th September, 2018 at Dr. Reddy’s Auditorium from 4.00-5.30 PM
Emotions of Bachpan is an event on smiles, laughter, love, stars, and everything under the sun, beneath the skins of children whose souls smell of flowers and the moon.
