Admission of Proctors (2022–3)
- Professor Jane Mellor, Fellow of Queen’s, and Dr Linda M Flores, Fellow of Pembroke, on behalf of Harris Manchester, were presented to the Vice‑Chancellor and admitted to office, the former as Senior Proctor and the latter as Junior Proctor
Admission of Assessor (2022–3)
- Dr Richard Earl, Fellow of Worcester, was presented to the Vice‑Chancellor and admitted to office, as Assessor
Admission of Pro-Proctors (2022–3)
- The Senior Proctor nominated Tristan Franklinos and Christopher Metcalf to be her Deputies
- The Junior Proctor nominated Roberto Salguero Gómez and Rebekah White to be her Deputies
- The Deputies were presented to the Vice‑Chancellor and admitted to office
Election of Proctors (2023–24)
- Nuffield has elected as Proctor for the proctorial year 2023–24 Professor David Scott Kirk, Fellow of the college
- Oriel has elected as Proctor for the proctorial year 2023–24 Dr Kathryn Murphy, Fellow of the college
Election of Assessor (2023–24)
- New College has elected as Assessor for the assessorial year 2023–24 Professor Joseph Conlon, Fellow of the college

Request from the National Commission for Museums and Monuments of Nigeria for the repatriation of 97 artefacts taken during the Benin Punitive Expedition
In accordance with the procedure for dealing with repatriation claims set out in the University’s Procedures for claims for the Return of Cultural Objects, the Visitors of the Pitt Rivers Museum and those of the Ashmolean Museum have considered a claim from the National Commission for Museums and Monuments of Nigeria for the repatriation of 97 objects. The Visitors are recommending that Council agree to the return of the items in question, and invite comments from interested parties.
Any comments received will be considered by Council in reaching a final decision. The dossier of the case for consultation may be consulted on application to Marina de Alarcón, Curator and Head of Collections, Pitt Rivers Museum, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3PP (email: marina.dealarcon@prm.ox.ac.uk; tel: (01865) (2)70930).
Any submission regarding the Visitors’ recommendation should also be sent to Marina de Alarcón by 6 April.
