Adams Update December 16, 2022

Half-Day of Instruction - Wednesday, December 21

School is dismissed at 11:51 a.m. next Wednesday, December 21. That will be the last day of the first semester, and the last day of school prior to the holidays. School resumes on Tuesday, January 3. It has been a real sprint from the first day of school back in August, to this time of year. We appreciate all that our families do to support Adams and your children here at school. While we still have a few days of school left before break, please allow us to wish you and yours a happy holiday season and a wonderful winter break!

Poetry & Hanukkah Presentation

The amazing Mr. and Mrs. Levy came in this week to share about Hanukkah customs and traditions with our fifth graders. Mrs. Levy read Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric A. Kimmel, and they both shared their family traditions as well as some Hanukkah history. Mr. Levy ended the presentation with his own recently published poem about Hanukkah. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Levy!

Sweet Building in Kindergarten Classrooms!

Our Kindergarten classes had a great time building Gingerbread houses this week. This beloved Adams tradition fills the air with sweetness and dreams of sugar-plums, for sure, as the classrooms are transformed into gingerbread workshops! Thank you to all of the parents who helped, and be on the lookout for the houses coming home soon. Great job, Kindergarten Atoms!

Adams Atoms Skate Night Fun

This week saw another fun Adams Skate Night, as students, staff, and parents (!) enjoyed an active, community event together. We had no idea how many talented skaters we have here at Adams. No matter your experience or comfort level on skates, if you'd like to come out and join the fun, be sure to be on the lookout for the next Adams Skate Night, soon, in the new year.
