Poison Dart Frog Orange & Blue
Step 1: Sketch the frog
I did a quick sketch of my poison dart frog.
Step 2: Start adding black in colored pencil & complete the eye
These photos aren't the best, they show up more contrasty than the actual drawing. The black coloring pencil is more smooth.
Step 3: Add in more black colored pencil in the legs
Legs are done on to the color now! :D
Step 4: Start adding in the orange and yellow of the poison dart frog
Adding the highlights first.
Step 5: Adding more color and value
Applying more pressure with the pencil and layering it.
Step 6: Add in the blue in colored pencil
On to my highlights first.
Step 7: Add more blue into the legs and blend the colors better together
Almost there!
Step 8: View the finished product!
I'm not quite happy with how the body turned out, but I love the look of the legs.
