Will there be guaranteed contracts?
At the conclusion of Day Two, the ALPB Managers will conduct a player draft, and at least 20 players will be selected and offered a spring training invite, and an opportunity to compete for a 2022 roster spot.
After the ALPB Managers have selected their players, the managers and coaches from other professional teams, as well as MLB scouts are able to select players and make contract offers.
The #1 pick from our 2020 draft led the Atlantic League in HR in 2021 with 34. The 11th pick in our 2020 draft didn't play an inning with the High Point Rockers before his contract was purchased by the Minnesota Twins and he started his professional baseball career in Fort Myers, Florida.
In 2021, 16 players were selected in the post-event draft. Since 2019 we have helped over 70 players get into professional baseball.
Will there be professional coaches and scouts in attendance?
Yes! Our event is designed and operated by current professional baseball managers from the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
MLB scouts from all 30 organizations are invited to attend, as well as coaches, managers, and personnel from each Independent Professional League.
