The Heir By Kiera Cass
Set in the kingdom of Illea. It has been 18 years since Maxon chose his wife, America. It is now time for their daughter, Eadlyn, to choose her spouse. Eadlyn is the only girl child. Her siblings consist of Eadlyn's twin Ahron, their brother Kaden, and the youngest Osten. Normally the boy would be in The Selection but Maxon and America didn't want to rob their daughter of the "chance of a lifetime" since she is older by 7 minutes. This is also a way to keep the peace in the Kingdom.
Eadlyn is a very stubborn woman and refuses to participate in The Selection. Much like her mother before her. But she finally gives in. 35 suitors come to the castle, all of whom are hoping to get chosen as the next prince of Illea. But Eadlyn has a plan. She plans on choosing no one. Kile Woodwork. The annoying boy that lives at the palace is chosen. She is despising this contest more than ever. Below are some of the men in The Selection.
Eadlyn meets all the men and realizes that some of them are not as bad as she thought. Except for Kile. She can't stand him and knows she won't choose him. He is like a brother to her. So she asked for a favor. Maxon and America don't think their people are very into the selection because Eadlyn is refusing to do anything. So Eadlyn asked Kile to kiss her in front of a few photographers. When they kiss she feels something. Something she doesn't like. SHE ACTUALLY LIKED THE KISS!
Eadlyn starts to realize that some of the boys are not that bad. She actually has a little fun. Especially with Henri. Henri is from Finland and brings with him a translator. But something unexpected happenes. The translator falls for Eadlyn but he's not in The Selection. So Eadlyn just hangs out with the boys. Along with sending most of them home. Below is a picture of Henri.
Lastly Eadlyn decides that the selection might not be the worst idea after all. Maybe she will find a husband. Or just a friend. But if u ask me I am kinda pulling for Kile. But it's all up to her.
