My family crest By: Giankasper Laraque
I am from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti one of the 5 biggest countries in Central America . According to wikiname.net, the Laraque name is associated with communication, interaction, friendship, joy, lightness, humor, art, positivity, and optimism.
On my father's side, my grandfather has 14 children. Unfortunately, one of the them passed away in the 2010 earthquake. On my mother's side, my grandfather only has a unique child which is my mom. I grew up on a street that is called Rue de l'enterrement. At the age of 3, I had to stay with my grandmother because my mother had to travel to the Dominican Republic (Santiago) for a mission. At that time my father worked at a radio station that is called Caraibe fm which is today the most popular radio station in Haiti.

My family is what means the most to me.
I describe family as a precious gift that could ever exist. I am grateful for my family because they have never given up on me. They are not perfect, but I feel blessed to be part of this wonderful harmony that surrounded us. My family means caring, loving, sharing, generosity, gratitude, support, and honesty.
