Week 2 - Term 2b The week we went to the zoo.

Bearded dragons and meal worms. We were allowed to touch them and feed them. It was amazing to see how brilliant their eyesight was.
The Wallabies were ace. We walked through their habitat . When a baby Wallaby is born it is the size of a pink jelly bean!
The reptile house was our favourite! Some of us have reptiles at home, and knew lots of information already.
The farm animals were a huge success. We found out there was a code for the sheep. The farmer painted them different colours depending on how many babies they were going to have.
My favourite, the old Prairie Dogs. They followed one another around and stayed on the same path every time.
Mere Cats are brilliant. In the wild they eat scorpions, and dig deep in the soil where it is. Ice and cool.
Checking in the animals to the vets.
One more and less, and an impromptu homework school!
Observational drawings of pine cones. We had to feel them first and draw what we felt. We then looked closely and drew them again using the different line techniques we have been concentrating on.
Observation station, looking closely at different wheel, reading and writing - as you do!
