The biggest thing I have learned from my 16 years is that you will never get what you want just by sitting back and wishing it will happen for you. You have to get out there and do what ever it takes to get the job done. One experience I have had is when i joined my summer team from California as the 2nd string catcher but when I got my opportunities I showed my coach that I was the best. After that I held the starting spot for the rest of the summer.

Another great example is Jackie Robinson. He was not a guy that just accepted losing or being made fun of. He worked insanely hard to show people that he was the best baseball player out there and that the color of his skin didn't matter.

We will not always get it the first time we try. After you have fallen you have two choices, get up and try again or give up and leave your dream hanging. Something that I trey to live by is that if you can look up, you can get up. Meaning that if you are willing to set the goal and work hard for it, you can achieve it.

There is a satisfaction that comes after you finally achieve what you have wanted. You will feel a lot better if you know that you earned it through all your hard work with no cheating and no shortcuts. Sometimes it is easy to get distracted or make an excuse to why you couldn't get to work today or blame someone else for not completing your goal. The only person that you can blame anything on is yourself, you are the only person can do it, no excuses.

You need to figure out that your biggest competition out there is you. You are the one that will be trying to tell yourself, you have done enough and give it up, better luck next time. You can't listen to that voice, you need to listen to the little one saying that you can do it and that you will prove everyone wrong. For me, i know that I want to show my coaches and team mates that it was me all along, that I was always the best for the job. Nothing is going to stop me until I reach my biggest goal. i know that if I work hard like I tell myself I am going to, I can do this.
