I’d teach them that it’s vital to treat people with kindness, even when you don’t stand to benefit from the interaction.

Every exchange you have with another person, in whatever capacity, is an opportunity to make a difference in that person’s life and the lives of others.

The true measure of character lies within one’s practice of being kind to those whom pose no potential benefit to oneself.
