Mom's Understanding Moms

San Manuel held our first annual “Celebrating Mom's Resource Fair” to raise awareness about maternal mental health and provide information about resources available to new and pregnant moms both within and outside of Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health Inc!

A Celebration of Moms Resource Fair was presented by the Native American Resource Center, County of San Bernardino Department of Health, Tribal Family Partners, Dejon Salon and Aesthetic Center, and the American Indian Infant Health Initiative (AIIHI)

Studio Dejon's display was very welcoming to our native culture. It is his pride and passion for his Native American culture that is illuminated in everything his does. Studio DeJon also provided four baskets filled of clothing wrapped in tissue and ribbon so that each mother would go home with something. Johnnie said his grandmother would always give back to her people and this is why he will always remember to carry-on the tradition which was shown by his elders as a young man growing up. They provided many giveaways for our pregnant and postpartum moms too! Studio DeJon demonstrated the core Native American values of generosity, respect, caring, compassion and humility in their interactions with the RSBCIHI Community. We would like to thank Studio DeJon and his staff for making our mothers feel and look beautiful.
