Phasmids are a leaf and stick insect of order Phasmatodea.
Appearance
Phasmids look like a sticks because they camouflage. If you are wondering what camouflage is? camouflage is when you blend in with any colours.
Diet
Phasmids are herbivores which means they only eat plants and leaves and they eat at night and they eat leaves off trees and shrubs, although a few species are known to eat grass.
Habitat
Phasmids can be found on Balls Pyramid. The Phasmids used to live on Lord Howe Island but they are dead now because the black rats ate them on Lord Howe Island. But the phasmids found Balls Pyramid so the phasmids are on Balls Pyramid. Two scientists found them after 80 years and they took them back to Melbourne Zoo and saved them.

A fun fact the females are too fat to fly
