JUDGES

Myna Joseph holds degrees from Wellesley College and Columbia University's MFA Film program. Her award-winning short film MAN screened at Cannes in Directors’ Fortnight, as well as Sundance, SXSW, and New Directors/New Films Festival. She was nominated for a 2016 Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay for THE MEND.

Kyla Burwick is a graduate of Wofford College’s Film and Digital Media program. She is currently obtaining a Masters in Narrative Media Storytelling (Screenwriting for Film and Television) at University of Georgia-Athens. She works as a filmmaker, dance instructor, and choreographer

Khalil Gamble is a Wofford alumni class of 2020 from Sprtanburg, South Carolina. He is currently getting his MFA in filmmaking at Howard University.

AWARD-WINNERS

Yasmin Lee '23 won Best Direction and Best Short Film for her animated film, Poppin'

Kendall Owens, after getting the chance to read her screenplay in full during the program, won the Best Screenplay, Short award for her script, Cry Wolf

Abigail Woodall '23 won the Best Screenplay, Feature award for her project, Sam of New York City
