Wylie Merritt, Vocal Solo
Wylie Merritt, soprano, is a senior at Santa Clara University studying studio art and communication. Wylie got her start at the age of 5 in musical theater and has since performed in over 20 productions. In high school, she fell in love with choral music which lead her to studying classical voice. Her vocal studies have spanned 12 years, and it’s her favorite way to spend her time. At SCU, she had been a 4-year member of the Chamber Singers and dedicated member of an a cappella group, Vocalicious. As she nears graduation, Wylie is pursuing a career in graphic design but hopes to keep music at the forefront of her life. She is thrilled to be performing her senior recital on May 21st at 2pm at the SCU recital hall. Wylie would like to thank her family and her voice teacher Nancy Wait-Kromm for always cheering her on and pulling high notes out of her she didn’t know she possessed.
