Welcome to Snead State!

Welcome to your virtual Parson Days session! Here you'll find the same valuable information that you receive on campus at Parson Days. Keep scrolling to find step-by-step directions for virtual orientation. By the time you've completed all of the steps, you'll be ready to register for classes!

What is Parson Days?

Parson Days is the new student orientation at Snead State Community College. Everything you need to know about Parson Days will be found here. Parson Days is more than just registering for classes; It's about preparation. We want to take away the uncertainty of what to expect and equip you with the knowledge to navigate your college experience with confidence.

Step One

Confirm all of your admissions documents have been received.

OneACCS is the access point to your student records and information at SSCC. This is where you will register for classes, withdraw from classes, view admissions information, find financial aid records, access your grades, view/print/request academic transcripts, and many other things while you are a student. You need to check to make sure we have received your residency form, photo identification and your final high school transcript. The first step for you to complete is to sign-in to OneACCS using your student number, which is the same as your student email.

Your email address is your full student number AXXXXXXXX@snead.edu. This means your ACCS login will be your personal A number @snead.edu. Your default password is !SNEADMMDDYY with the MMDDYY being your birthdate. This does include in the exclamation point.

Trouble logging in? Please email jerri.gullion@snead.edu, and be sure to include your full name and your date of birth.

Check out this video for a quick how-to on signing in to OneACCS and checking your admission documents.

Step Two

Confirm all of your financial aid documents have been received.

Next up, be sure you have completed all of the financial aid requirements on your OneACCS account.

Questions about financial aid? finaid@snead.edu

Step Three

Check your program of study.

Now, let's check your program of study, or pathways as we call them, on OneACCS. Your advisor is determined based on your pathway. So, it's important we have the correct major listed for you.

Changed your mind about your program of study since you applied to Snead State? No problem! If you need to change your major, please complete the change of program of study form and email it to studentservices@snead.edu.

Step Four

Print your official STARS Guide.

Students at Snead State who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university in the state of Alabama will need to print and follow a STARS Guide. STARS stands for Statewide Transfer and Articulation Reporting System. This agreement will guide you through your first two years of classes at Snead State and will ensures the classes you take will transfer to the four-year college or university that you choose. To generate a STARS Guide for your major and four-year college choice, please visit the STARS Guide website and select the official STARS Guide. Be sure to have your STARS Guide on hand for your advising session in step 5.

Step Five

Sign up for an advising session.

Once you've completed the first four steps, it's time to sign up for an advising session. During your advising session, you'll have a virtual meeting with your faculty advisor to determine which classes you need to take this fall.

An advisor will be assigned to you based on your major. Once your information is entered, you'll be able to see the available dates and times for your advisor. You’ll need to schedule an advising appointment with an advisor from your major advising group. Be sure to have your STARS Guide on hand for your advising session.

To sign up for an advising session, you'll need to include your full name, date of birth, your student number and your email address. Remember, if you don't have your student number, you can email your full name and date of birth to studentservices@snead.edu, and we'll be happy to help you!
