PTO BOARD OPENINGS

Most of the PTO Board is staying on for next year: Paige Gustavsen as President, Ellen Campfield-Nelson and Julie Ouchley as Vice Presidents, Nola Walker and Kim Love as Treasurers, Alicia Walker as Assistant Secretary, Becca Hayes and Rosa Urrutia as Hospitality Committee, and Susan Cornett as Volunteer Coordinator.

We have a few openings as well as new positions that need to be filled. See a job that looks interesting but worried about over-committing? Recruit a friend to do it with you! We encourage Board and committee positions to be shared through co-chairs or assistant positions to help ensure smooth officer succession and continuity, as well as to allow sustainable workloads for volunteers. To sign up, email us at northjhPTO@gmail.com or reach out to Ellen or Julie with any questions.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IBOB IS....Idaho Battle of the Books, or IBOB, is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program open to all Idaho students in grades 4-12, regardless of ability. IBOB Goals: Expose students to literature, encourage & recognize students who enjoy reading, broaden reading interests, increase reading comprehension, promote academic excellence, and promote cooperative learning and teamwork among students.

For the first time, we had TWO teams make it to the quarterfinals!!! Both of our teams went undefeated in pool play, despite facing some fierce competition, 36 teams from across the valley.

Congrats to: Elsa Fesenmyer, Ethan Lowe, Kellen McClaskey, Katie Sawyer, and Mona Schwartz who were narrowly defeated in the quarterfinal round. They scored over 40 points in every round. Way to go BOBasaurus Rex!

Congrats to: Ardin Anderson, Kane Cochrane, Grady Noble, Lucy Robison, and Teddy Winkler who scored over 50 points in every round, and brought home the second place trophy! Way to go Team Just Quit Now!

North Took 2nd Place!!
Save the date for the Freshman Farewell May 17th!

Hello 9th Grade Families! The end of the school year is quickly approaching and that means it's almost time to celebrate our wonderful 9th graders with the Freshman Farewell party. The party will take place on May 17th from 12:15-2:30 in the back field of North Junior High. We'll serve pizza for lunch and offer yard games in the field. The main event is an amazing color run around the perimeter of North Junior High. We'll also be handing out gift cards and a new Boise High t-shirt for each student. We need your help in pulling off this fun party for the students. Please click the link above to volunteer. The color run can be a little colorful so plan accordingly with clothes you don't mind getting stained.
