Gergely Madarasz 2016 @NCAAtennis Championships

In his first semester of collegiate competition, Madarasz has compiled a record of 20-3, with 16 of those wins coming in straight sets.
All but one of his nine Big Ten Conference victories were in straight sets. At 8-1 in the top spot for Purdue, the redshirt sophomore was a unanimous All-Big Ten first-team selection.
Madarasz became the Boilermakers' first first-team award winner since Paul Rose in 2004.
On April 5, the Baja, Hungary, native, obtained the program’s highest singles ranking since 2001 at No. 39. Madarasz has appeared on eight consecutive Oracle/ITA singles rankings, currently checking in at No. 50.
During his run this spring, Madarasz has beaten five opponents in the Oracle/ITA top-125 singles rankings, including No. 13 Konrad Zieba of Northwestern 6-2, 6-4 on March 25.
