Women's Bean Project Fall 2022 Newsletter

Take a peek inside our new home at 1300 West Alameda Ave!

Letter From The CEO

Phew! After what feels like forever, we have finally moved into our new facility. We are busy unpacking and settling in, but the positive energy of our team is palpable. Recently, we attended a market held at the library in our new neighborhood, Athmar Park. It was fun to talk with our new neighbors who were very welcoming and excited to have the building occupied.

When I walk around the new facility, I am excited by the possibilities. There is program space galore, including a wellness room, small and large classrooms, a dedicated computer lab, community space and more. I am thrilled we were able to create a facility that truly will help us serve more women better.

As we settle into our new home, we invite you to come by for a visit. We host tours the first Friday of every month, and our retail store is open Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. Come see what you made happen!

Thank you for your continued support. I appreciate you!

It All Starts With An Idea

As our Shipping Administrator, no one knows our products better than Sabina. So who better to launch a new one?

Sabina first joined Women’s Bean Project in 2021 as a program participant. Her leadership skills quickly became apparent and after 90 days in the program, she interviewed for and earned a Team Lead position. After graduating this April, Sabina joined our staff full-time.

A casual conversation over tacos sparked her idea for a new product: Sabina’s Salsa Bundle. Including our Hot Salsa, Medium Salsa, and Southwest Salsa, this bundle isn’t just about spicing up your next meal. It represents all that is possible when women have the space to foster their creativity and thrive!

Working here taught me to trust myself and allowed me to trust other people.

Calling All Volunteers...

We're excited to share our new digs while offering many opportunities to support our mission as a volunteer! As the holidays significantly increase demand on our shipping and production areas, your time & talent is much appreciated.

Mark Your Calendar!

You can preschedule for Colorado Gives Day starting November 1st

Don't miss Colorado's biggest day of giving on December 6th! Every donation made through ColoradoGives.org on this day is boosted by the Million Incentive Fund, which increases the value of each gift. For example, if a nonprofit receives 10 percent of the total donations made on Colorado Gives Day, that nonprofit receives 10 percent of the fund.

This year’s goal is to raise $125,000! When you donate to Women’s Bean Project, you directly provide life skills classes, job coaching, and career growth opportunities for women to change their lives and their family’s lives. Your generosity makes a lasting impact in the lives of the women we serve!

Come visit our NEW retail store! We are open Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Voted #1 Most Appreciated Donation

Provide snacks & lunches!

The holiday season is always the busiest time of year at Women’s Bean Project. To help support our program participants, individual donors and companies step in to provide lunch and snacks to the team each week. This is the perfect way to show appreciation for our hardworking production team and provide support from afar!

Celebrating Our Recent Graduates

Huge congratulations to Ahlecia and Nancy for their completion of our program!

I've learned what to look for and what I deserve. Being here, I've found myself. I finally know what my worth is. I finally know who I am and who I want to be in life.
This program is amazing. It's amazing for me and amazing for every woman. Now, I can believe in myself and I can show my kids that everything is possible.
