Dear parents/carers,
World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday 2nd March. This year, our theme is fiction vs non-fiction. As part of our celebration we would like all children to be creative or present information based on a book/author of their choice. This could link to your fiction/non-fiction character choice for the day.
Ideas could include:
- Poster
- Book in a box
- Puppet show
- A story retelling
- A story map
- A biography on your non-fiction choice
- A retelling of a story
- Powerpoint presentation
- A game based on a book
- A piece of art work inspired from a book
- Anything in response to a book/author!
We will then display all completed work in the shared areas throughout school on World Book Day. Children will then visit 'Parkside's Reading Museum' and take a look at all the wonderful work produced across school. Children will also take part in buddy reading during the day where they will pair up with another class in school and share stories.
Kind Regards
Miss S O’Brien, Headteacher
