"Pakistan", our beloved homeland, is the outcome of numerous sacrifices by our forefathers.

"WE", as students, parents, teachers, leaders, professionals, citizens and a nation of this county are responsible for its prosperity, growth, and development by our relentless efforts, dedication, hard work, determination, honesty and truthfulness.

ART Competition on Pakistan Day

Pakistan resolution was the landmark in the history of Muslim of South-Asia. It determined for the Muslims a true goal and their homeland in the north-east and north-west. It gave new energy and courage to the Muslims who gathered around Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the struggle for freedom. ART faculty of AKU and Cambridge, lead by Ms Hina Khurram, also celebrated Pakistan Day in high spirits on the campus. Students were informed about the importance of the Pakistan Resolution and its association with Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore. Students participated in sketching/drawing their emotions/ feelings which show their love for Pakistan.

History has witnessed that only those nations rise who have great regard and respect for their leaders. They keep on watering the plant of their values, traditions, and legacy. They never forget their sacrifices, hard work, and struggles.

Our new generation so believes in it, Salman Fatani from grade VIII has created a video that commemorates our leaders' sacrifices.

Session on Creative Writing

Creative Writing brings innovation and imagination to the forefront. It develops creative thoughts, alternative ideas, problem solving abilities and logical skills. Keeping in mind the core importance of creative writing, the HPS Library Team organised an exciting session on Tuesday 9, 2021 for its students.

Neda Mulji conducted a wonderful session on creative writing. She is working with OUP as Senior Manager, Professional Development. She writes regularly for Dawn Newspaper and has recently authored a book on parenting.

The session on Creative Writing was a fun learning experience for students of classes 6,7 and 8."

BVS Science olympiad

"Young learners need a direction to fly, in this modern tenure of Science and technology, everything is being modernized daily, new researches, inventions, and modules are being introduced, to promote students leadership and to make leaning level headed, Science olympiad gives the opportunity to students to show their advanced researches and inventions, Virtual Science Olympiad was organized by BVS, a graceful ceremony, where students showed their maths, physics, chemistry, Biology and computer's related modules, among big names, Habib Public School got the honor to participate. There were teams from Islamabad and the USA. With immense hard work, dedication, passion, and efforts, Habibians secured the first position in the physics module, runner, up in Maths, and overall runner up of the olympiad.

Habib Public School's First Digital Yearbook

Habib Public School launched its first-ever Annual Yearbook 2021 in loving memory of the late Ali Habib in which students of every section participated and shared their experiences, pictures, art, and literary work during the phase of the pandemic. Overall, this yearbook publication provided an opportunity to highlight, reflect on the events and lives of people involved with the school.

International Women's Day

“Where there is a woman, there is magic.” –Ntozake Shange

To honor womanhood and to raise awareness about the status, dignity, and importance of women, students of Habib Public High School celebrated International Women's Day on Monday, 8th March 2021.

Throughout the day students participated in multiple activities which included customized hand-made colorful cards for the women they love, cherish, and admire. They also wrote, recorded, and shared meaningful messages which showed admiration and appreciation towards the women around them. Habibian Yahya of XI Science-B also wrote a poem to express his views and respect for women in general. Moreover, students also made different resolutions to bring a difference in society. Overall, this day provided an opportunity to bring happiness, entertainment and also taught them about the importance of gender equality for a healthy society.

خواتین کے عالمی دن پر جماعت ہشتم کے طالب علموں کے احساسات وجذبات اور کامیابیوں پر مبنی ان کی تعلیمی زندگی میں اہم کردار ادا کرنے والی خواتین اساتذہ کرام کے بارے میں ایک مختصر نوٹ تحریر کروایا گیا۔طلبا نے اپنی پسندیدہ ٹیچر کا تذکرہ کرتے ہوئے تمام خواتین کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا اور اس بات کا اظہار کیا کہ ان کی زندگی میں موجود مختلف رشتوں کی حامل تمام خواتین قابلِ احترام ہیں جو ان کی تربیت، اخلاق و تہذیب اور کامیابیوں کی اصل وجہ بھی ہیں۔

FIRST-EVER Virtual Graduation 2020

Habib Public School organized its first Virtual Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2020 on Sunday, 7th March 2021 at 4:00 pm this year due to the impact of COVID-19. This virtual ceremony gave a chance to every student of that batch to celebrate this milestone with family and friends at home. In conclusion, this online graduation ceremony served as a punctuation point of our student's academic experience with immense memories which they will cherish forever.

Cubism and Abstract Art

Cubism and abstract art is a joyful activity for students, it allows them to think outside the box, provides a new perspective to see things. It doesn't restrict students' creativity to just between four lines. Habibians are letting their imagination run wild through this activity.

STUDENT-LED MEETINGS (SLM 2021)

A student-led meeting is a great opportunity to share the academic accomplishments, progress, and growth of a student based on classroom observations, assessments, portfolios, and assignments. It allows a student to reflect and also enables the facilitators to learn from parents so they can be better informed about students' strengths, needs, behaviors, and learning styles. Therefore, the faculty of HPS arranged the SLM on Saturday, 6th March 2021 to evaluate and accelerate every individual's holistic performance.

جماعت نہم میں جماعتی سرگرمی کروائی گئی ۔حالات حاضرہ سے متعلق موضوع کے چند سوالات پر طلبا نےاپنی رائے کا اظہار کیا جو درج ذیل ہیں۔

سوال1-عوامی وسائل ،مسائل میں کیوں تبدیل ہو گئے ہیں؟

سوال 2-مہنگائی میں اضافہ کیوں ہو رہا ہےاور اس کا حل کیا ہے؟

سوال3-لوڈ شیڈنگ کے باوجود بجلی اور گیس کے بلوں میں کمی کیوں نہیں آ رہی؟

سوال 4.ملک کے حالات میں تبدیلی کیوں نہیں آ رہی؟

سوال 5- عوام کے ٹیکس کا جائز استعمال کیوں نہیں ہورہا؟

یہ تمام سوالات طلبا کے اپنے تخلیق کردہ تھے جن کے جوابات بھی خوب دئیے گئے۔حالات حاضرہ پر طلباء کی گہری نظر قابل ستائش تھی ۔یہ بات باعثِ سکون ہے کہ ملک کے معماروں کی نہ صرف ان تمام حالات پر کڑی نظر ہے بلکہ وہ اسے سدھارنے کے لئے بھی پر عزم ہیں۔

Classroom Activity

Students of grade IX are so engrossed in their group discussion and took part actively in the classroom activity where they came up with unique ideas and group representatives came forward to share their creative write-ups.Well done Habibians!

Revision Sessions

"Practice makes everything perfect"

To get success, three things are very important, practice, practice, and practice, yes, before the final examination, revision tests give an opportunity to improve for better grades and getting a distinction. Through revision tests, students go through the refining process to get better than before.

Resumption of MYEs

What may come, the show must go on, it applies correctly to MYEs, due to the second outbreak of Coronavirus and lockdown, grade VIII exams were stopped in the middle, after reopening of school, Habibians are having MYEs for remaining papers.

ART WORK - GRADE VIII in OLM

Art becomes a great therapy and a great source of peace when using it correctly, Habibians experience this ultimate joy with making mandala and Zentangle art, It doesn't only make them feel relaxed amidst studies but also give them a great outlet to their creativity. Students of grade VIII from the AKU section show up with their creativity through this unique art form.

Reading Culture

"Readers are the leaders"

In this era of technology , holding the book in hand, feeling the fresh smell of paper, and living the characters within, has been faded away. To revive learning culture and develop book reading habit in children, Habib Public School came up with the idea of a reading period, students cant go to the library so, Habib Public brought the library to their classroom, daily half an hour students read books, Calmly and quietly, in a great silence, only stories speak, imagination comes alive and reading becomes a great source of peace.

Online IKLC Preparatory Session

Habib public school always encourages their students towards new opportunities and exposures. Every year, students of Habib Public School take part in IKLC, this year due to pandemic, it was conducted online, to make students practice for the online mode of the test, IKLC itself arranged a preparatory session for students' ease. The session was done successfully at the campus and students got the first-hand experience of online tests.

Kashmir Day

To express solidarity, unimpeded moral and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their heroic struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination, students of Habib Public High School on Friday, 5th February 2021 observed Kashmir Solidarity Day in which Habibians pondered on the significance of freedom which must be considered as one of the most important natural rights of each individual.

PRE-MOCK EXAMINATIONS

To upgrade the standard of students' learning, Habib Public School has always conducted Mid-Year and Pre-Mock examinations in the month of January and March respectively which acted as an important step required to boost the practice of learning among students. These summative assessments provided an additional understanding to them about their learning and also an opportunity to be aware of the gaps in their learning.

Resumption OF Morning Assembly

"New Norms"

One of the prominent features that makes Habib Public school stand out from others is its Morning Assembly. HPS Morning Assembly is its legacy that has no comparison.

The main intention of the school assembly is to develop a feeling of unity among all the students and teacher and to develop a sense of identity in the school.

HPS- morning Assembly gives an insight of experiential moments which includes National Anthem with a stupendous Brass Band, Recitation of holy verses, HPS- Pledge, Physical Exercise and a unique parade by the HPS-cadet corps.

2020 was the year of survival, only those firmly stood who patiently kept on going, Habibians missed their physical activities, assemblies, and events during the lockdown, but they embraced the new norms in the new year and showed up with the new spirit , almost after a year, Habib Public School is having its assembly with its skilled band while taking care of proper SOPs.

From echoing the atmosphere with the holy recitation to the loud reading of the national anthem with full enthusiasm.

Students Council

The Habib Public School Student Council is the representative of the student body of Habib Public School. This year the school announced its 56th Student Council on 1st February 2021. The Council is responsible for the administration of student services, campus-wide events, and student advocacy at the school. The school shared the role of responsibility with 39 students of the senior AKU and Cambridge section: a School Captain, 2 Deputy School Captains, 4 House Captains, Deputy House Captains and House Prefects were appointed. After the oath, the school Principal also addressed the students and discussed the importance of their role as a student leader in school.

CPPL and DLCB Session

"The Research, Learning and Development Hub at Habib Public School constantly strives to ensure the professional development and well-being of its faculty members. In the same pursuant, a Digital Learning Capacity Building – DLCB – IV session was organized in collaboration with the HPS-ICT team on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 08:00 am to 12:30 pm which included a series of learning opportunities.

The day started with the Principal’s session on “Education today – The Teachers’ Role’. She highlighted the importance of seeing the good in yourself which will ultimately enable you to see the good in others. She emphasized on the importance of reading and researching as an educationist. She stressed on communication and collaboration for high performing team dynamics. At the end of her session, she appreciated and acknowledged the teacher's continuous efforts in the field of education and referred to them as 'front line' workers during this pandemic. Another session “Peoples’ First’ was conducted by an eminent and inspirational speaker Mr. Fahad Ahmed, in which he enabled the teachers to thank one another and stressed upon the practice of gratitude.

Later on at 10 am, the session was taken over by the talented HPS- ICT team. In their mesmerizing 21st Century Technical Skills session, Tech-Ease features were discussed followed by multiple breakout sessions on Flipgrid, Twitter for education, Padlet, Powtoon, Podcast, and Creating Effective Powerpoint Presentations.

Overall, the day contributed to teachers' continuous professional development to attain levels of excellence."

Virtual Session on Plagiarism

"Plagiarism is the fear of a blank page."

The RLD Hub Habib Public School organised a Virtual CCPL workshop about ""Plagiarism"" on Saturday, January 16-2021 for the teachers of its all sections.

It was our honour to have Jennifer Johnson as a guest speaker who discussed distinct paradigms of plagiarism in Education.

The workshop itself was very much engaging, fascinating and illuminating. Everyone enjoyed and learnt the different ways how teachers can keep a check on the plagiarized work of their students.

VIRTUAL QUAID DAY CELEBRATION

The auspicious occasion of Quaid-e-Azam day was celebrated virtually by AKU and the College section of Habib Public School on Wednesday 23rd of December 2020 from 10 am to 11 am via MS Teams platform with great devotion and fervor to pay homage to our great leader. The event aimed at making the students aware of the inspiring past and the ultimate sacrifices rendered by Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to get success in constructing a separate country. All students and teachers made multiple videos and also presented live on this special day. They also delivered speeches to render a big tribute to the founder of Pakistan. There were no regular classes except for the last period, which was taken by the class mentors from 12:15 pm to 1:05 pm. The celebration of Quaid-e-Azam day was a befitting tribute to the father of the nation as well as an occasion that imbued the young students with a renewed spirit of devotion and service to the nation.
