SANGEET CEREMONY

Indian weddings signify much more than decorations, fineries, entertainment, wedding planners, mehendiwalas and flowers. Most importantly it is the union of two like minded hearts. Secondly it is a bond not only for a lifetime commitment but also between two families. Sangeet ceremony as the name suggests is all about dance and music. The environment quite often becomes emotional as the bride and her mother experience the pangs of separation from each other.

"Photography can only represent the present. Once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past."

BRIDAL SHOOT

This unforgettable moment - You're getting married!

RITUALS

Indian weddings, also called 'Vivaah', are best known for the grandeur, traditions, grace, colors and almost carnival-type celebration associated with this sacred event. The Hindu marriage rituals can be broadly classified into pre marriage rituals, marriage rituals and post marriage rituals.

THE 'D' DAY

The rituals and process in a wedding vary widely. Nevertheless, there are a few key rituals common - Kanyadaan, Panigrahana and Saptapadi, given away of daughter by the father, voluntarily holding hand near fire to signify Union, and taking seven steps which each other includes a vow/promise to each other before fire.

"The whole point of talking pictures is so that you don't have to explain things with words."

"THE UNFORGETTABLE EMOTIONS"

A wedding day is surely a roller coaster of emotions as unique as the big day is planned.

VIDAAI

The Vidaai ceremony symbolises the final stage of the wedding, where the bride's parents bid farewell to their daughter with their son-in-law. The special significance of the ceremony lies in the fact that it is marked by both emotions of happiness and sorrow. As their little, loving daughter welcomes a new life of bliss; parents are filled with feelings of happiness for her, blessing her with all their heart and soul.
