Recycled Aluminum Can Art

Mixed Media Recycled Can Art: acrylic paint, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, recycled plastic, cardboard, yarn, pom-poms & googly eyes, feathers, and so much fun!

left to right: Chelsea Noerr, Hana Patel, Eden Smith, (background figure-Kinsley Yocum), Carys Morgan, Victoria Zimmerman, Sommer Smith, Chelsea Noerr

Each artist involved in the Recycled Can Art project wrote an "Artist's Statement" about her piece(s) and where she finds inspiration.

I must preface this by saying I clearly paid each of these students off! Jokes aside, whomever the students' art teacher is each year would get the same positive comments. I appreciate all of them.

3-D Chinese Lanterns

We studied the famous Japanese artist Hokusai and his woodcut, "The Great Wave". Our lanterns are inspired by his works. As we worked on our lanterns, we listened to relaxing Japanese and Chinese music.
