Looking at persuasive letters in English, we started planning our own using the time honoured, “help persuade a character from a fairytale not to do something daft…”.
In maths, we tried very hard to copy and then draw our own tables for both tally charts and pictograms. I was impressed! We also spent time looking at the 8 times tables. We tried answering some questions on it too…
We broke out the Lego.our new DT unit is all about renewable energy and understanding what energy is and where it comes from. A gentle starter task was to draw something that needs energy and then make it out of Lego.
Still learning to use the internet safely and effectively, we had to find out more about a place from clues given.
In geography, started being a bit more explicit in giving directions and describing position. We started drawing some maps of our route to school and describing this to a partner. We move on to trying with countries next.
