Sports, Clubs & Community Involvement

Social Work Corner ~ Mrs. Miller

Second Step Lessons:

Second Step lessons are now completed in all four grade levels. This year, all students have learned ways to succeed in school, how to recognize and respect others feelings, how to acknowledge their own feelings and calm down, if necessary, and how to use STEP to problem solve. I’m proud of the progress our students have made this year and look forward to working with them again next year.

Community Resources:

If your student or family has any need of community resources this summer, and you need some ideas about where to go for assistance, please email me and I will respond as soon as I am able. My email is temiller@gcsc.k12.in.us (Terry Miller).

Free school supplies will be available at various community events this summer and at the beginning of the school year.

Plug Into Nature Camp is a five day summer camp experience for students entering grades 3-4-5 next year. This year's camp will take place from July 11 - 15, 9am to 4pm, at Nameless Creek Camp, located at 2675 S. 600 E., Greenfield. The camp provides activities such as kickball, games, nature trail/creek exploration, water games, arts and crafts. These activities will allow the campers to enjoy the outdoors and learn new activities, and will also teach leadership, team building, and social skills. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the camp.

If you are interested in your child attending camp, please complete the registration and medical consent forms and mail them to the address contained within the application prior to May 31st. Total cost for the week is $90. Please read the 2022 Camper Registration form for further details.

If you have any questions about the camp, please contact Brittany Bennett, Camp Director, at 317-840-6130 or pincampdirector@gmail.com.
