Upcoming Events

Missed choir auditions? You can still simply enroll in a non-auditioned choir! You can join our women’s ensemble, Belle Voix, or our Men’s ensemble, Vox Aquilae. Email or talk with your counselor or Mr. Rymer and they can help take care of that for you!

April 11th- Senior meeting. Counselors will go over graduation timeline with seniors (important dates and graduation information).

May 2nd- Senior Awards Assembly at 9:00 am. Parents are welcome to attend.

Upcoming Scholarships

April is the month for many of our local scholarships for seniors. This is not a complete list of all scholarships. Make sure to check our website for all scholarship information.

March 31st- Men's Italian American Civic

March 31st- Betsy Wiscombe Piano Educational Scholarship

March 31st- Utah PTSA

April 1st- Keys to Success- Various scholarships to MTECH, Paul Mitchell, Snow College, and Nightingale College. Apply through website.

April 3rd- Young Technology Scholar (YTS) Scholarship- Micro Focus and the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) are pleased to sponsor the annual Young Technology Scholar (YTS) Award. This award is granted to high school seniors who have demonstrated proficiency in computer information technology related courses and leadership abilities in their schools and communities.

April 7th- Healing Out Loud Film Contest- A social media short film contest to help normalize mental health and encourage us to hold inclusive and open conversations.

April 10th- Nebo Credit Union-Nebo Credit Union is offering a $1,000 one-time scholarship for an individual who meets the criteria outlined in the application and who exemplifies the credit union ideals of service and people helping people.

April 13th- Elmo C. Keck Scholarship Excellence in Music- Membership in choir during high school. Love for music.

April 13th- Gardner Scholarship- This scholarship will be in the amount of $500-$1,000 and will be awarded to one or two outstanding students. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are planning a career in education, have a history of community service, and show financial need.

April 13th- Mapleton's Promise Scholarship- For a senior who resides in Mapleton with a 2.5 GPA or higher. For 2022, we will offer seven (7) $1,000 scholarships that can be used at any accredited higher educational institution, including trade schools. Seeking someone who appreciates and desires more education or training, has adequate grades, personal initiative with determination.

April 13th- Spanish Fork rotary Club & Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber of Commerce- Senior with goals of higher education and career training.

April 13th- Springville/Mapleton Chamber of Commerce- Senior students from Mapleton or Springville.

April 13th- Spanish Fork Kiwanis Scholarship- This scholarship is based on financial need, leadership, community service, and academic achievement. Four senior students living in Spanish Fork will receive scholarships as well as students who are members in good standing of the Key Club.

April 14th- Sierra Bonita Leadership Scholarship- Senior who has previously attended Sierra Bonita and has been involved in community, school and church activities.

April 14th- Live Like Redd- The Live Like Redd Scholarship in Memory of Bridger Cole Robison.Desires to provide two high school seniors with $1,777 scholarships to further their education. This scholarship will be awarded to students who have demonstrated the following: Determination, A Light to Others, Compassion, Grit, and A Heart of a Champion - in all aspects of life.

April 14th- Bryson Strong Foundation Scholarship- In honor of Bryson McQuivey, The recipient of the scholarship will be: Graduating senior from MMHS. Active in any extracurricular school-sponsored event. 3.30 GPA or higher.

April 14th- Springville Rotary Club Wayne Piner Scholarship - financial need is the primary criteria for this scholarship, therefore all applications must be accompanied by the most recent tax return of the applicant's parent/guardian. Scholarships are awarded only to students planning on attending Utah State Colleges and Universities. BYU or out-of-state schools will not be considered.

April 15th- Utah JumpStart Scholarship- Must be taking or must have completed a general financial literacy course. Must prepare a short video that explains how that course prepared the applicant for paying for college. Log into your Complete Scholarships account to match to scholarship, read full details, and apply.

April 20th- Nebo Title VI Indian Education Scholarship- Eligibility: Student must meet all criteria to be considered: Native American, Alaska Native as determined by Federal 506 Identification form. Contact Nebo Title VI office with questions: 801-798-4035 A senior in the Nebo School District.

April 24th- Project Management Institute - Northern Utah- Each year the Project Management Institute (PMI) Northern Utah Chapter offers three scholarships, $2000, $1000, and $500, to outstanding Utah students who demonstrate an interest in project management or a project management related field of study

Community Resources

Maple Mountain provides groups throughout the year for our students including "Why Try" and self-regulation & skills management groups. If you are interested in learning more about these groups, contact your Counselor.
