Last semester, procrastination was my biggest hobby! I always waited until the last minute to complete assignments or study for an exam. Which meant I had to cram about five lessons of material for the exam. However, with my new weekly schedule planner and new study plan, exams are now easier to prepare for. With the weekly schedule planner, I have made time each day to study for every class. The consultant suggested that I try the 5- Day Test Prep Plan instead of cramming the night before the exam. This method was very helpful because it was consistent. Reviewing each chapter daily helped the material stick with me. I was able to recite information from my notes without looking, rewrite notes from memory, and create mind maps from memory.
Day 1: Studied "Chromosomes and Mitotic Cell Division" for 1 hour using my Power Point study method.
Day 2: Studied "Setting the Stage for Inheritance" for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then reviewed "Chromosomes and Mitotic Cell Division" for 15 minutes using my Power Point study method.
Day 3: Studied "Stem Cells" for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then reviewed "Chromosomes and Mitotic Cell Division" and "Setting the Stage for Inheritance" for 15 minutes each using my Power Point study method.
Day 4: Studied "Reproduction and Development" for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then reviewed "Stem Cells", "Setting the Stage for Inheritance", and "Chromosomes and Mitotic Cell Division for 15 minutes each using my Power Point study method.
Day 5: Reviewed all 4 chapters. Spent 30 minutes reviewing for "Reproduction and Development", 20 minutes for "Stem Cells", 10 minutes for "Setting the Stage for Inheritance", and another 15 minutes reviewing "Chromosomes and Mitotic Cell Division" using my Power Point study method.
