CFCC Hurricane Response We’re working with local county and emergency management officials to actively monitor Hurricane X to protect our campus community. For the latest information and updates, please continue to monitor this site.

A hurricane is a tropical storm with winds that have reached a constant speed of 74 miles per hour or more. Hurricanes are serious weather events that could result in extensive damage and life-threatening conditions.

Latest Updates - Hurricane X

  • August 20, 2022 - National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of low pressure in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • August 22, 2022 - The tropical wave acquires significant organization and is named Tropical Depression.
  • August 23, 2022 - Tropical depression is upgraded to Hurricane X.
  • August 25, 2022 - Hurricane X reaches Category 3 status off the coast of South Carolina and North Carolina.
