Bronco Bulletin May 20, 2022

Happy Friday Bronco Families,

Wow what a week at Boulan Park! On Thursday, our 8th graders went to the Troy Historical Museum for the annual Civil War Day. Pictures from the trip are above and below.

Also on Thursday, we hosted 5th graders who will be Broncos next fall. Our outstanding 7th grade leaders gave tours and answered questions about what it's like at Boulan Park.

Congratulations to the RogueBots as they ended their successful season ranked 1st in Michigan and 57th in the world for Robot skills (out of 3,186 teams)!

The RogueBots are comprised of Boulan Park 7th graders Zach, Dominic, Anupan, and Aiden. These students just returned from the VexIQ Challenge Pitching In 2022 World Championship held in Dallas, TX last week.

The RogueBots earned their berth to the World Championship after sweeping the top awards at the VexIQ Challenge Pitching In 2022 Michigan Middle School State Championship in February. They took home the top 3 prizes at the State Championship Tournament: Teamwork Challenge Champion, Robot Skills Champion, and the prestigious Excellence Award.

Play Water Polo in High School!

Boulan 8th graders and their parents are invited to an Informational meeting and chance to see if playing water polo at Athens, IAE or Troy is right for them.

Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm – Troy High Pool

Troy United Water Polo is holding an 8th grade recruiting night. Bring your suit and towel; after a brief orientation its fun time in the pool. Varsity players will teach you a few basics, then you’ll play a game with other 8th graders.

Many water polo players are also on the school swim team. Club Swimmers are encouraged to play. There are no tryouts, but players must be very strong swimmers. Athens, Troy and International Academy East students combine to form JV and Varsity Troy United Teams. Boys Water Polo is a Fall sport, Girls Water Polo is a Spring sport.
