What is it?
The 2017 UAS Student Showcase is a poster presentation event specifically for UA South students held on April 21st, 2017, from 10am-12pm at the Learning Resource Center in Sierra Vista. Students participating in faculty-sponsored research activities (for example, class assignments, independent study projects, etc.) are highly encouraged to develop and present a poster, either alone or in groups.
What kind of posters?
There are five categories from which you can choose: undergraduate, graduate, internship, online, and social justice. The first four categories are judged in the same way using the same rubric, while the social justice category has its own rubric. Your posters (if in-person) should be clear, informative, and creative. Consider using a tri-fold and having materials to hand out. If online, considering creating a one-screen infographic.
What should I prepare?
Your poster should clearly describe the purpose of the project, accurately portray its method or process, interestingly depict the results or conclusion, and be visually attractive in its presentation. Beyond this, the presenter (that's you) should be engaging and demonstrate your expertise on the content. Most importantly: have fun!
Who is eligible?
Any current UA South student is eligible to participate. Presentations may be done by solitary students or in groups.
