Top 5 Makeup Trends of Spring 2016

The reign of no-makeup makeup is officially over. Through bright red lips, winged eyeliner, electric blue eyes, glitter, and false lashes, the 2016 Spring runway took individuality to soaring new heights. Scroll down to view the five trends and the best products to achieve your trendy Spring look.

1) Smokey Eyes- Sexy, sophisticated eyes aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Neither are cat eyes, but they are taking a more subtle approach this year.

2) Glitter- Gleaming lids and glitter-touched lashes seemed to be the most memorable makeup statements of the 2016 runway. Adding a touch of glitter to your eye makeup is the perfect counterargument to no-makeup makeup.

3) A Touch of Blue- A swipe of light blue from Marc Jacobs, a smudge of cyan from Missoni, and a tight cobalt line from Jonathan Saunders were used to demonstrate Spring's blue eye makeup movement. Want a blue pastel that really captures the eyes? Leave it to Chanel who knows how to push colors into their conceptual territories.

4) Bold, Velvet Lips- While bold lipstick is nothing new- and we all love a good matte look- A velvet texture was a recurring theme on the runway. From the glossy Coca- Cola red lip color to the velvet oxblood stain color, bold mouths struck the perfect balance against bare skin.

5) The New Natural Look- Glowing cheeks with a touch of pink was demonstrated as a twist to the recent call to natural beauty. What's the trick? Apply the blush on your cheekbones and blend into the hollows of your cheek.
